As a family owned and operated business we are devastated by the impact of COVID-19, as we know you will be as well. We take priority in ensuring our families, staff, guests and community remain safe during the current COVID-19 crisis.
Following the recent government updates, in particular, the advice around non-essential travel, we wanted to reach out to let you know the changes we have made.
We have had to make the difficult decision to no longer accept bookings or arrivals for non-essential travel at this time. This has also meant that we have needed to close our on-site leisure facilities.
We are currently remaining open to provide essential travel only to those in need.
It is our understanding that ‘essential travel’ includes travel that is related to:
- necessary activities for work purposes,
- essential accommodation while stopping at one location during a current road trip,
- travel on compassionate grounds and
- travel required to return to your place of residence.
For guests who are needing to stay with us over the coming weeks and months, we will be supporting and encouraging social-distancing and hygiene measures, so you and your travelling companion/s remain safe, and for the safety of others. This way, we will be in the best place to be able to reopen for travel as soon as we are permitted.
Due to the new travel restrictions, if you have a non-essential booking within the next 60 days, please contact us directly to discuss your options.
While the situation is out of our hands, we are deeply sorry that your holiday plans have been inconvenienced in this way. However, this is for the greater good.
You are still welcome to make a booking for later in the year and beyond. It would help us greatly if you did and would be a wonderful thing to look forward to.
We will continue to update you with any new information to support you during this period. The best place for all the latest information and updates is here.
We thank you again for your support during this time and we look forward to welcoming you all back to the Costa Rica Motel and the Macleay Valley Coast in the future.
