Booking Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as they incorporate the basis upon which bookings are accepted at the Costa Rica Motel.

A guest code of conduct has also been put into place due to COVID-19. This is for the safety of all guests, staff and our community. We ask that all guests please read the code of conduct prior to their arrival.


ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE

Check-in/arrival time is from 14:00 (2:00PM). We allow guests to arrive earlier if requests are made in advance. Check-out/departure time is prior to 10:00 (10:00AM) – late check-out after this time may incur an extra charge.


BABY COTS AND HIGHCHAIRS

Baby cots (including linen and blanket) and Highchairs are available upon request at no extra cost for the duration of your stay.

Baby cots and highchairs are subject to availability, and cannot be guaranteed.


CANCELLATIONS

Our standard cancellation policy requires booking cancellations or changes to be advised to us by 2PM (14:00) hotel time, two (2) days prior to arrival. Over peak periods, special events and group bookings alternative cancellation policies may apply. The cancellation policy will be communicated during the booking process and can be supplied in a confirmation email when requested.


GROUP BOOKINGS

A minimum of five (5) rooms reserved on one night is considered a group booking. Different terms and conditions apply for group bookings. Group bookings are required to pay a deposit equal to the first night of accommodation for all rooms to confirm the booking. Cancellations must be made 30 days in advance to get a refund.


GUEST COURTESY

For the comfort of all our guests, we ask that noise is kept to a minimum so everyone can enjoy a peaceful and comfortable stay. We request that any visitors leave all rooms by 22:00 (10pm) each evening. Please also extend this courtesy to our neighbours when entering and exiting the motel grounds.


HOUSEKEEPING SERVICES

Housekeeping services are available for all guest. Our standard housekeeping service is as follows;

Every day your room will receive an Refresh Service where we will make the beds with existing linen, replace finished amenities, replace used kitchen items and empty the rubbish.

For stays more than 4 nights, your room will receive a Full Service where your room will be fully cleaned, including all linen changed once every three (3) days.

For some discounted rates and long stay guests a weekly housekeeping service applies. This comprises of one (1) full clean once every seven (7) days with no housekeeping service on any other days. Housekeeping is able to supply additional amenities at any time upon request.


INTERNET

Complimentary Wi-fi internet is available for all guests. Access details will be provided on check-in.

Rollaway beds are available upon request and at the discretion of management. Please be advised there is only limited availability.

MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY

A minimum length of stay may apply during peak or special event periods, as determined by Costa Rica Motel management. If you reserve a room over such dates (as per the booking terms and conditions) you agree to stay for the required minimum nights. Any changes or cancellations (within the cancellation period) are subject to a penalty and may result forfeiting of any pre-payments and/or deposits.


PAYMENT

Payment for entire stay is required at check-in/arrival. For peak periods, special events and group bookings, different payment policies that require pre-payment may apply. The payment policy will be confirmed at time of booking. If the payment policy is not adhered to the booking may be cancelled. We accept EFTPOS, Visa and MasterCard. Any credit cards being used for payment (including incidentals) must be present at check-in/arrival by the cardholder. Cash is accepted.


PET POLICY

Costa Rica Motel does not permit pets. An animal is considered a breach of your accommodation conditions and you will be asked to leave or remove the animal. Guide dogs are permitted.


PHOTO IDENTIFICATION

Valid photo identification (ID) matching the name of the main guest within the booking must be presented at time of check-in/arrival. This is required in order to verify your identity for hotel security purposes. A valid Australian driver’s license, Australian issued proof of age card or an international passport are all acceptable forms of photo identification. As per our privacy policy, any personal information contained on the collected identification will be securely stored.


SMOKING POLICY

Smoking in the internal room is not permitted. Fines will apply to guests who do not adhere to this policy. Ashtrays are provided where smoking is allowed.

Tariff Terms and Conditions

Please see below outline for booking terms and conditions based on tariff type for direct bookings only (phone, website or email). For bookings made through an Online Travel Agent (Booking.com and Expedia) refer to your booking confirmation for terms and conditions.


Booking Flexibility
In these uncertain times, we’re here to help. If you are impacted by COVID-19 our team will work with you to offer additional flexibility for amendments, changes and or cancellation.

Accommodation Credits
Have to postpone your stay due to COVID-19? We’re able to provide you with an accommodation credit to use for a future stay. All credits have no expiry and can be used at any time. Bookings must be made direct to receive an accommodation credit.

Deposit Schedule:
No deposit required.
Terms and Conditions:

  • Valid credit card to be supplied at time of booking.
  • Reservations can be amended or adjusted up until 48 hours prior to your arrival.
  • Should you wish to cancel your booking you must notify reception 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • If If you cancel your booking after the 48 hour cancellation period or you do not arrive on your reservation date your booking will be cancelled and fee of one (1) nights accommodation will be charged to the credit card provided at time of booking.
  • Name on the reservation must be the same as the credit card holder’s name and same individual must check-in for the stay.
  • If you wish to reduce your nights booked after the commencement of your stay with us, we regret that we are unable to refund any monies paid.

Tariff Period: Peak – XMAS 21/22 & Easter Long Weekend 2022
Dates: 17th December 2021 to 15th January 2022 and 15th April 2022 to 17th April 2022

Deposit Schedule:

  • 50% deposit required fourteen (14) days prior to arrival.
  • Remaining balance payable on arrival.

Terms and Conditions:

  • Valid credit card to be supplied at time of booking.
  • Reservations can be amended or adjusted up until 14 days prior to your arrival.
  • Should you wish to cancel your booking you must notify reception 14 days prior to your scheduled arrival.
  • If you cancel your booking after the 14 day cancellation period or do not arrive on your reservation date your booking will be cancelled and fee of 50% of total accommodation will be charged to the credit card provided at time of booking.
  • Name on the reservation must be the same as the credit card holder’s name and same individual must check-in for the stay.
  • If you wish to reduce your nights booked after the commencement of your stay with us, we regret that we are unable to refund any monies paid.
